Self-confidence and a radiant smile are often directly linked. However, or precisely because of this, misaligned teeth or jaw problems in adults are often a taboo subject. Fortunately, there is a discreet and extremely effective solution: transparent braces. Misaligned teeth are often not just a visual problem, but can also lead to discomfort. In many cases, however, these can be successfully corrected if they are diagnosed and treated at an early stage.
Discretion: Invisalign aligners are transparent and therefore hardly noticeable.
Comfort: The aligners are made of smooth plastic, which means that they are barely noticeable in the mouth and contain no irritating wires or brackets.
Removability: Unlike fixed braces, you can remove Invisalign aligners to eat and brush your teeth, which makes oral hygiene easier during treatment.
Efficiency: With good patient cooperation, Invisalign treatments are often shorter than conventional braces treatments and achieve fast, impressive results.
Precision: Thanks to state-of-the-art 3D scanning technology and computer-aided planning, every movement of your teeth is precisely planned to achieve optimal results.
Unfortunately, statutory health insurance companies do not currently cover orthodontic treatment with an Invisalign splint. You must therefore bear 100% of the costs yourself. It is not possible to make a general statement about the costs of aligner therapy. These depend on many different factors, such as the complexity of the case and the duration of treatment.
The duration depends largely on two factors: the severity or extent of the misalignment and your own determination to actually wear the splints. Aligner treatment for adults can last between 6 and 12 months, sometimes even up to 18 months.
After a detailed consultation and examination, a 3D scan of your teeth will be taken in addition to photos and, if necessary, X-rays. This digital impression can be used to create a treatment plan and then the Invisalign splints.
The Invisalign aligners should be worn for approx. 22 hours a day for approx. 7 – 14 days until the next aligner in the sequence is used. During this time, you must pay particular attention to your oral hygiene, as bacteria can collect under the splints. We also recommend that you have your teeth professionally cleaned (PZR) by your dentist before starting treatment.
We will discuss how many splints you need and how long the entire treatment will ultimately take after an initial examination and diagnosis. Simply arrange a non-binding consultation.
Treatment with an Invisalign® aligner is painless for most patients. If a slight pain should occur, this is completely normal and usually only occurs when changing to the next pair of aligners, as these fit a little tighter. Here you should always follow the orthodontist’s instructions and consult them if necessary. This enables you to have a problem-free and carefree treatment.
